  The owners of Castle Forge called at my home on a fencing installation. They requested and was given a deposit of £400 and said they would have to reschedule their work to be able to do my job before I went on a 3 week holiday. My holiday came and went, with no news from Castle Forge. After eight weeks had gone by and still no news, I left a message on their answerphone and a typed message on their website. Still no reply ! After ten weeks had elapsed I telephoned and managed to speak to one of the partners, whoinformed they would be coming the following Monday at 9.00 am to commence the work. I informed the partner that should they not appear then the job would be cancelled.
  They did not appear on the Monday, so I reported them to the Police, Action Fraud, and my bank about their fraudulent activity. The police spoke to Clive Christopher of Castle Forge who stated that the £400 was non-refundable should the job be cancelled. It was pointed out that they had sent an email to say that reimbursement would be made to my bank account within 5 to 7 days. He said they had a cheque waiting to clear, when this was done they would reimburse me by bank transfer ot cash direct to my son. This was over 7 days ago, and I still have not had return of my £400. I am 87 years of age, a pensioner and do not enjoy good health. Needless to say Castle Forge should not be allowed to operate in this way with anyone !
